Two
large porches wrap around the house. The back porch features a
view of the gardens and a large meadow with a wonderful sunset.
The front porch has its own private flower gardens. It is a great
place to view the sunrise
Our
dining room is elegantly decorated and overlooks the kitchen.
One night a week, guests can interact with a specialty chef and
be involved with the night's dinner. Our guests will receive the
evening's recipe and preparation techniques. Other nights, various
chefs will be featured cooking gourmet meals at La Grande Maison.
Diners will have two or three options of entrees each night. Our
guests may be served in the dining room, on one of the porches
or in the gazebo.
Guests can choose between our three beautiful suites, each decorated
with interesting and varied artwork. Each is equipped with full
private bathrooms, televisions, refrigerators, gas log fireplaces
and Wi-Fi internet connections. On the same floor as the guest
suites is a small lounge where guests can socialize with other
guests and enjoy our 4 o'clock refreshments.
Downstairs, in the La Beret room, guests can enjoy a pool table,
stereo and television. The room, decorated with sports photos,
has a relaxed, casual feel. La Beret is beside the grotto, where
guests can sit outside in the shade. Lawn games such as Bocce
Ball, Badminton and Croquet are available to our guests.
Wine is served at four o'clock every day. Our guests are welcomed
to come and taste the different types of wine we offer. For weddings
and other special occasions, we can create custom labels for the
wine and champagne bottles (please be sure to order these 3 weeks
prior to arrival).
At La Grande Maison, guests can enjoy the peace and quiet that
comes from the ambiance of a bed and breakfast surrounded by nature.
Relaxation comes naturally here. As a courtesy to the inn and
other guests, there is no smoking inside of the house or the gazebo.
We gladly supply ashtrays in designated smoking areas.
