The Gardens are composed of thirty acres of beautiful captivating vistas. The gardens are composed of plants, many of which have been selected from other countries. There are over eight hundred and fifty different species of trees, shrubs and perennials. For your pleasure, there are fifty seven varieties of roses. The gardens are designed to be beautiful around the year.

There are five different gardens near La Grande Maison. The formal Rose Garden has a classical style with statuary and columns. The Puzzle Garden is a whimsical garden shaped like a jigsaw piece. The English Garden, the largest of the individual gardens, consists of rare and established specimens. The Passion Garden contains vividly colored flowers that bloom most of the year. The Fairy Garden creates a mystical atmosphere with soft overhead lights. All the other gardens have soft lighting for nightime strolling and viewing. Interesting and beautiful statues are also located all around the grounds. Many of the plants are labeled with their Latin and English names.

For guests who enjoy walking, La Grande Maison has a mile long path. This path meanders through gardens, an alley and vibrant woods. On your walk, you will see a unique black bamboo grove from China that is seldom seen in this part of the world.
